Christian the Lion Lived In My Garden
A remarkable video documenting a reunion between a lion named Christian and two men who had cared for him early in his life has been making the rounds on the Internet and in the media and I wanted to share some additional information about this story because it is very personal to me and central to the being of Born Free USA united with Animal Protection Institute as an organization.
This lion used to live in my garden.

Tribute to Holly
At the Born Free USA Primate Sanctuary, rescuing and providing homes for nonhuman primates is deeply satisfying because of the new and rich life we give these individuals. It is a fact of life, of course, that these individuals eventually die. So it was, sadly, with Holly, the eldest baboon at the Sanctuary.
